Summer 2018 Day 2 – Howzat!?!? Plenty of Fun at Kwik Cricket as it Only Rains Sixes!!!

Tuesday 19th June saw the second day of the Norfolk School Games swing into action and part of that was the Mixed Kwik Cricket Finals held at Manor Park – the home of Horsford Cricket Club.

16 teams from across the 8 School Sports Partnerships in Norfolk took part meaning there were over 150 children from Year 5/6 eagerly embracing the Cricket fun.

The 16 teams taking part were split into 4 groups, playing matches against the other teams in a round-robin format. Once these were all finished, the Winners & Runners-Up from each group went forward into the Cup competition, whilst the 3rd and 4th placed teams entered the Plate competition.

After a day jam-packed with boundaries, wickets & spectacular catches the final standings were…

1st BROOKE

2nd ST. WILLIAMS

3rd HILLSIDE

Plate Winners – ST. AUGUSTINE’S (9th OVERALL)
