Day 4 – Young Gymnasts Show Off Their Skills At School Games Gymnastics Finals

Day 4 of the Norfolk Winter School Games 2017 saw 78 Year 1 and 2children from across the County competing in our Key Stage 1 Keysteps Gymnastics Final.

These children qualified from their Level 2 competitions to represent their respective School Sport Partnerships (SSP) from across the County and they have spent the last few weeks perfecting their vaults and the Gymnastic routines to their chosen piece of music.

We were very fortunate to have fully qualified regional, club and Sportspark coaches plus an excellent group of leaders from local Gym clubs, and also from Thorpe St Andrew School & Sixth Form, supporting us at our event today.

Along with the competition, we took advantage of the Sportpark’s amazing facilities, and offered the children some coaching on the bars, beams, tumble track and trampoline. The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the various pieces of equipment and learning some new skills.

Congratulations go to our Norfolk School Games Keysteps 1 Gymnastics medal winners;
