Handball was included in the Norfolk School Games for the first time today as schools from across Norfolk competed in the year 7 and 8 competition at UEA Sportspark. The event brought together 16 teams, all of whom qualified from their level 2 partnership competition, with the 8 winning girls and boys teams from each School Sports Partnership taking part Luke Hornsley, the South East Regional Delivery Partners Manager for Handball commented “It is fantastic to see Handball included in the Norfolk School Games for the first time and it is really encouraging to see the growth of Handball in Norfolk schools” Schools played a round robin tournament, with each team playing 7 matches. Schools then competed in a playoff match to determine their final positioning. During the playoffs, the 8 th placed team played the 7th , the 6th placed team played the 5th, the 4 th placed team played the 3 rd and the 1 stand 2 nd placed teams played off to determine the overall winners.
