Summer 2018 Day 1 – High Fives to all schools for a Fantastic Netball competition

On the first day of the Norfolk School Summer Games 30 teams across Norfolk played out a fantastic High Five Netball tournament in the sunshine at the Sports Park UEA. Sixteen large schools and fourteen small schools competed in a round robin tournament against two or three other schools in their group.  Teams entered the competition through qualifying for their partnership competition.

At the end of the round robin, the top two teams from each group entered the cup competition and the teams that finished third or fourth entered the plate competition. Teams then entered a second round robin tournament in the cup or plate competition before playing off against the team that finished in the same position in the other group. Each team played at least seven matches throughout the day.

The day showcased the excellent High Five Netball being performed throughout Norfolk and with over 250 children involved in the competition it was brilliant to see such high levels of participation. As the day progressed it was pleasing to see the quality of Netball being played with schools demonstrating superb team work, work rate and skill.
