Norfolk School Games -Special Schools Event

Our Special School Games are an integral, and a much loved & valuable, part of our biannual Norfolk School Games
We were delighted to see so many pupils joining us at this year’s event from 6 schools across the County who cater for pupils with special needs.
We were especially pleased to welcome The Wherry School who joined us for the first time this year.
The School Games team brought together a variety of activities in which to engage the students of various ages and abilities.
The sports included the following:- Boccia, Kurling, Pickleball, Table Tennis, Dance, Goalball, Powerchair Football & Netball.
The students from Hall School, Parkside, Sheringham Woodfields, Sidestrand, The Wherry & The Clare school participated in the various events with great enthusiasm & excitement.
It was wonderful to watch the students flourish under the guidance & encouragement of our excellent coaches who differentiated their delivery to meet the diverse needs within each group, so successfully.
Our hope is that by experiencing these activities we introduce pathways for those students to discover new events & to access community clubs where they can broaden their experience of physical activity & hopefully progress into new sports.
Thank you to all schools that attended and all their incredible staff who are instrumental in their pupils accessing these opportunities.
It is a pleasure to work with all of them.
