Norwich SSP Introduce Year 3 Swimmers to Their School Games Competition

Thursday Norwich SSP held a swimming gala for pupils in Year 3-4 at the Sportspark. The aim of the gala was to provide the next step on from school swimming lessons and to provide pupils a pathway into the sport of swimming.

Approximately 80 Yr 3-4 pupils from 6 different schools took part in the gala. Many of the pupils there were taking part in their first ever competitive swimming gala.

The gala was help in the inspiring setting of the Sportspark at the University of East Anglia (UEA). Pupils had the opportunity to take part in a number of individual events as well as freestyle and medley relays. All races were held over 25m.

The year 4 pupils who won there individual races are now invited to represent the SSP at the upcoming Norfolk School Games Yr 4-6 swimming finals which will be held on Thursday 2nd March at the Sportspark.
