As part of the of 2020 Norfolk School Games Winter Finals, the Sportshall Athletics County Level 3 competition took place at the UEA, Sportspark today. The competition was open to teams who had qualified to represent their local School Sports Partnership (SSP) by taking part in a prior qualifying competition.
16 teams competed with a squad of 20 athletes who took part in a wide range of athletics events including chest push, vertical jump, standing long jump, 5 strides, speed bounce and javelin throwing. Teams also took part in some exciting and closely contended track relay races.
It didn’t take long for the atmosphere to hit fever pitch as the boys & girls were cheered on to some fantastic performances driven by great displays of enthusiasm & sportsmanship. They did superbly well and showed some excellent determination & talent to put on a real show for the watching parents. It was a wonderful day of sporting action.

We would like to take this chance to say a huge thank you to Adam from Sportshall UK who compered, organised and ran the day in a brilliant manner that had everyone engaged, enthused & unable to stop smiling! The event was also supported by Sports Leaders from City College Norwich, who acted as officials for the track events and ran the field events so we would like to extend a big thank you to them as well.
