Wake and Shake

A member of staff could run a short 5-10 minute ‘Wake and Shake’ session at the start of the day for a class/year group/whole school to take part in. This could be delivered in a classroom or school hall dep[ending on what space you have available.

If you don’t have a member of staff who feels confident to deliver a session, there are loads of fun videos available on YouTube which you could use.

School Games Play Resources

You could leave a selection of equipment and activity cards on your playground ready for pupils to use when they arrive in the morning. Rather than standing around chatting, could they get 5-10 minutes of informal physical activity before the start of the day?

Check out these great resources on the School Games website which will give you lots of great resources cards that you can print off and accompanying videos to show you how to play the game, make it easier/harder and change it up.
