Day 6 – Norfolk’s Special Schools Games

Day 6 of the Norfolk Summer School Games 2017 saw 50 Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 students from 4 of Norfolk’s Special Schools compete in a range of Olympic style events.

The students from Hall School, Harford Manor, John Grant School and Sheringham Woodfields School participated in Field and Track Athletics events, Golf, Indoor Rowing and Tennis, and they certainly faced their opponents with great determination and enthusiasm.

The students were selected by their schools to represent them at this County event and their schools can be very proud of, not only their sporting skills, but also the wonderful sportsmanship demonstrated as they supported and celebrated the achievements of competitors from all of the schools.

This event is now an integral part of our Norfolk School Games and we are grateful for the work done in preparation for this event, and on the day, to Active Norfolk staff, City of Norwich Athletics Club, Waitrose Supermarket who actively support events with volunteers and also to an excellent group of

Year 12 Sports Leaders from Diss High School all of whom were instrumental in making this such a success.

Congratulations to all of our competitors for their great efforts and their amazing enthusiasm throughout the event.
