Students have the chance to win some great prizes, simply by being more active and becoming a School Games HOT SHOT.
By being more active at School, Home, Outdoors and when you Travel your child will reap the benefits of a more active lifestyle, and if you fill in our Primary Activity Tracker or our Secondary School Pupil survey below, you will be entered into a termly prize draw!
To become a School Games HOT SHOT and to enter our NEW TERMLY PRIZE DRAW you just need to be more active than you usually would in a normal week. You just need to pick a minimum of one week during the term to be more active!
This could be done at school by creating new ideas for PE lessons, doing different activities during break times, or putting on new after-school clubs. Why not try to get more active at home? It could be as simple as taking the dog for a walk or meeting friends at the park for a kickabout. Riding your bike or walking to school is also a great way to add up those active minutes and it also boosts your mental wellbeing, setting you up for the school day ahead.
Whether it be at school, at home, inside or out, or by a form of active travel, we want to support our young people and help them to be more active to get their bodies and minds back on track. Being more active doesn’t always have to mean being more ‘sporty’, just going outside and exploring nature is a great way to be more physically active.
Below you will find more information, opportunities and fun activities for pupils and schools to use during the week. Schools are encouraged to use the resources to support the 60 active minutes agenda, supporting students through transitions, improving health and wellbeing, and improving the activity levels of girls.
At the end of an Active Week, students can recognise that they’ve done more activity than they normally would and identify what activities they want to continue to do.
WINNERS WILL BE DRAWN & PRIZES HANDED OUT AT THE END OF EACH TERM.
