Thirty five teams from across the county took part in the event which aimed to encourage more pupils to take part in competitive school sport and be physically active.
The Finals were split into two separate competitions with one for girls in Years 3-4 and one for girls in Years 5-6.
In both competitions teams were split into four groups of four teams. Teams then played off against each other in a round robin format playing 8 minute long matches.
All matches were refereed by female students from the Easton & Otley College Girls Football Academy.
Once the group matches were completed the teams that finished 1st or 2nd in each group qualified to go into the Cup Competition. The teams who finished 3rd or 4th moved into the Plate Competition.

At the culmination of the Cup and Plate groups the teams who finished in the same position in each of the Cup/Plate groups played off against each other for overall position.

They have all done really well to qualify through to represent their local School Sport Partnership in today’s Finals. It has been great to see so many girls taking part in the qualifying competitions and having the opportunity to take part in competitive football matches, many for the first time.
