The fourth day of the Games included a Playground to Podium Festival which aimed to engage more young people with special educational needs or a disability (SEND).

Over 200 pupils from 14 different schools took part in the festival. Pupils were split into 5 groups along with pupils from other schools and each group rotated around a carousel of different sports inc Tri Golf, Athletics, Table Tennis, Goalball, Boccia/Curling and Cricket.

All of the activities were delivered by volunteer coaches from local sports clubs as well as sports leaders from local schools.

Pupils had up to 40 minutes on each activity where they were challenged to complete a range of sporting challenges/drills related to that sport.
