2015 Norfolk Summer School Games Finals – Preview

The 2015 Norfolk Summer School Games Finals will be held between Tuesday 23rd June and Tuesday 30th June at a variety of the County’s best sporting facilities. The aim of the Norfolk School Games is to give more young people the opportunity to represent their school in competitive school sport and also to provide high quality pathways to inspire more young people to develop their sports skills further in order to fulfil their sporting potential.

The Finals will see thousands of the most promising young sports men and women aged 5-16 years old representing their schools against other young people from each of the eight School Sport Partnerships (SSPs) in the county.

All of the pupils taking part in the Finals will have qualified to represent their SSP by taking part in a qualifying event for schools within their local area.

The Summer Games will include the following events;

Tuesday 23rd June – @ Sportspark

  • Yr 5-6 High 5 Netball Finals
  • Yr 4-6 High 5 Netball Finals (Small Schools)
  • Yr 7-8 Basketball Finals
  • Yr 7-8 & 9-10 Aquathlon Finals
  • Yr 1-11 Special School Games Finals

Tuesday 23rd June – @ Horsford Cricket Club

  • Yr 5-6 Mixed Kwik Cricket Finals

Wednesday 24th June – @ Whitlingham Country Park

  • Yr 5-6 Cycling
  • Yr 5-6 Sailing

Thursday 25th June – @ Football Development Centre (FDC)

  • Yr 3-4 Football Finals
  • Yr 4-6 Football Finals (Small Schools)

Thursday 25th June – @ Barford Lakes

  • Yr 7-11 Angling Finals

Friday 26th June – @ Sportspark

  • Yr 3-11 Playground to Podium Festival (SEND)

Monday 29th June –@ Old Buckenham Cricket Club

  • Yr 5-6 Girls Kwik Cricket Finals

Monday 29th June – @ Easton College Tennis Centre

  • Yr 3-4 Mini Tennis Finals

Monday 29th June – @ Norwich Family Golf Centre

  • Yr 1-2 & 3-4 Tri Golf Finals
  • Yr 4-6 Tri Golf Finals (Small Schools)

Tuesday 30th June – @ Sportspark

  • Yr 7-11 Athletics Finals
