The Norfolk School Games, in collaboration with our valued colleagues at School Sports Partnerships across Norfolk, are asking schools for their support in undertaking the ‘Big Norfolk School Physical Activity Survey’. Through the Koboca survey tool, fully funded by Norfolk School Games, we hope to build insight that can support schools’ physical activity offers, including the School Games, to improve your pupil wellbeing and whole school outcomes.
What are the benefits?
For Schools:
- Instant personalised data on your pupils, accessible only by you, to aid understanding how to support pupil wellbeing and to target the right provision to those pupils who could benefit most.
- Valuable insight on your pupils to help you use PE Sport Premium funding more effectively and creatively, as well as providing evidence for Ofsted.
- Anonymised data sent to your School Sports Partnership to support them in creating provision aimed at impacting whole school priorities, not just PE.
For Pupils:
- Pupil voice to shape physical activity and wellbeing provision in their school/area.
- An opportunity to give feedback and access School Games, or wider physical activity provision, that they want.
When?
We are initially encouraging Primary Schools to work with their Year 5 classes to complete the survey from w/c 23rd January to inform activity to support transition in the academic year 23/24. There is no closing date for the survey – the benefits of completion are year round. However, we hope to gain as much insight as possible this academic year to support provision planning for the School Games and other initiatives for the summer term and next academic year.

NB: Koboca has a strict GDPR policy and follows data protection protocol. The pupil data collected can only be seen by school staff. The overall school data will contribute towards a regional figure, but this will be school data, NOT pupil data.
