Norfolk Winter School Games – Day 7 Report

Today was the 7th and final day of the Norfolk Winter School Games Finals and it culminated with 150 pupils from 8 of the county’s special schools coming together for the 2016 Special School Games.

The day was split into two 2 hour sessions with pupils taking part in new age curling and badminton during the morning session, and duathlon and table tennis during the afternoon session. Pupils competed on behalf of their schools and were awarded points based on their performances. School teams were split into two categories; Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). All activities were delivered by coaches from local community sports clubs.

At the end of the Games the points were added up and the overall results were;
