Summer 2018 Day 2 – Norfolk’s Golfing Greats

The 2nd day of our Norfolk Summer School Games 2018 brought out our mini golfers from all corners of the County.

We were delighted to welcome the qualifying 130 boys and girls, aged between 5 & 9, to Norfolk’s Family Golf Centre to demonstrate their golfing prowess in the County Final.

The competitors pitched and putted their way around a series of golfing challenges with the enthusiasm and determination of the best Championship golfers. As always there were very able winners of trophies and medals, and our warmest, and most hearty, ‘Congratulations’ go to them.

However, it was evident from the reaction of all of our competitors, that they, not only embraced and enjoyed the challenges, but also, had every reason to have pride in their own performances. Well done to all of them.

Many thanks to Katie Moggan from the Golf Foundation for her great support at our event, to the West Norfolk SSP team whose help was invaluable, and also the Thorpe St Andrew School Sports Leaders who did a wonderful job assisting the ‘mini golfers’ with their skills, and ensuring they had fun too.
