Keysteps Gymnastics – Day 3 of the Norfolk Winter School Games 2019

Norfolk School Games Keysteps Gymnastics Tuesday 12th February 2019

 UEA Sportspark SPring Gymnasium

Day 3 of the Norfolk Winter School Games 2019

90 Year 1 and 2 boys and girls from across the County competed in our Key Stage 1 Keysteps Gymnastics Final.

These children qualified from Level 2 Gymnastics competitions across the county, to represent each of the 8 School Sport Partnerships in Norfolk.

They charmed us all as they performed their beautiful Gymnastics routines to their chosen piece of music, and they delivered the vaults, which they have been perfecting over the last few weeks, with grace and confidence.

We were very fortunate to have fully qualified regional, club and Sportspark coaches plus an excellent group of leaders, from Thorpe St Andrew School & Sixth Form, helping to deliver this event.

Along with the competition, we took advantage of the Sportpark’s amazing facilities, and offered the children coaching on the bars, beams, tumble track and trampoline. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience of exploring the various pieces of equipment and learning new skills.

The children were a credit to their schools, and to their School Sport Partnerships. They should all be very proud of themselves for delivering such excellent performances with so much enthusiasm.

Thank you also to the many teachers, coaches and spectators for their support at this event and for the many hours they have spent preparing their children for this event

Congratulations to our Norfolk School Games Keysteps 1 Gymnastics winners :-

Gold medal winners – Spooner Row Primary School (South Norfolk SSP)

Silver medal winners – Harleston Primary School (South Norfolk SSP)
