West Norfolk SSP Downham Cluster First Steps Netball festival starts the pathway to High 5 Netball

Well done to the first steps yr 3 & 4 netballers from Denver Primary, Upwell Primary  and Southery Academy schools who took part in a very successful cluster festival in the glorious sunshine.

The teams were made up of players from each school and they played round robin matches with no scores being recorded.

The standard of play improved as the festival progressed and all players left feeling that they had increased their skills and are well on the way to becoming confident netball players ready to take part in the school games in the future.

Tracy Bower, School Sport Co-ordinator from West Norfolk SSP said ‘It was great to be able to introduce the children to an early step towards competitive netball without the pressure of winning or losing. Also, many thanks to Jo Thompson and Oliver Kenny for assisting with the umpiring and to Denver Primary for hosting the event.’
